By accessing or using Colaj's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using our services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Services Description

Colaj provides a real-time classroom engagement platform. Our services include live transcription, AI-powered key term extraction, student question consolidation, comprehension tracking, and post-session summary generation. Students participate anonymously without creating an account.

3. Account Terms

Instructors are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of their account credentials
• All activities that occur under their account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Students access sessions via a short code and do not require an account. Student participation is anonymous.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Share instructor access credentials with unauthorized users
• Use the services to store or transmit malicious code
• Attempt to bypass any service limitations or restrictions

5. Data Rights and License

You retain all rights to your data. You grant Colaj a limited license to:

• Host, copy, and display your data to provide our services
• Process lecture audio and transcripts to generate AI-powered content
• Comply with legal obligations

We will not use your data to train AI models. Audio is streamed for transcription and is never stored. Transcripts are deleted after session summaries are generated.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services with reasonable notice.

7. Intellectual Property

• Colaj retains all rights to our software, technology, and services
• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our services
• You may not reverse engineer our services

8. Termination

• You can terminate your account at any time
• We may terminate or suspend your access for violations of these terms
• Upon termination, you can request an export of your data
• We will delete your data after a reasonable period following termination

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

Services are provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• Services will be error-free or uninterrupted
• AI-generated content will be accurate or complete
• Services will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Colaj shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time by posting updated terms to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
